Cruden Bay (St Olaf)
Aberdeenshire

Cruden Bay's nine-hole St Olaf course — a links loop alongside the famous Championship course, redesigned by Tom Simpson and Herbert Fowler and opened alongside it in 1926. A shorter, fun test with the same sea views and links turf.
The Great North of Scotland Railway commissioned golf at Cruden Bay in 1894 for its new hotel, with a course by Old Tom Morris and Archie Simpson opening in 1899. In 1926 Tom Simpson and Herbert Fowler redesigned the main links into its current layout and redesigned the St Olaf course, which opened at the same time.
