Girvan Golf Course
Girvan

A council-run James Braid course on the northern edge of Girvan — 'a game of two halves', with eight exposed links holes along the shore looking out to Ailsa Craig and Arran, followed by ten parkland holes with trees and a winding river.
The course originally opened in 1902; in the 1920s James Braid reshaped it to take full advantage of its setting, and it has remained largely unchanged since. It is operated by South Ayrshire Council as part of Golf South Ayrshire.
